Venezuela’s grand plan to fix its toilet-paper shortage: $79 million and a warning to stop eating so much

Only a few hours after the government’s National Assembly voted for the trade credit, Maduro’s statistics office suggested an odd reason for all the shortages: “95% of people eat three or more meals a day,” president of the National Statistics Institute (INE) Elias Eljuri said while referencing a national survey.

We petition the obama administration to: Require Congressmen & Senators to wear logos of their financial backers on their clothing, much like NASCAR drivers do.

“…Since most politicians’ campaigns are largely funded by wealthy companies and individuals, it would give voters a better sense of who the candidate they are voting for is actually representing if the company’s logo, or individual’s name, was prominently displayed upon the candidate’s clothing at all public appearances and campaign events. Once elected, the candidate would be required to continue to wear those “sponsor’s” names during all official duties and visits to constituents…”

‘Rain Man’ claims Libor scandal ‘goes much higher’

Many anonymous traders are implicated in the tall stack of documents regulators published this week detailing Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC’s attempts to rig the lending benchmark known as Libor. But only one trader is cited by name: a 33-year-old so brainy yet socially awkward that colleagues nicknamed him “Rain Man.”
